“Bridgerton” actress Simone Ashley and “After” star Hero Fiennes Tiffin star in a new British rom-com.
“Bridgerton” star Simone Ashley (28) and Hero Fiennes Tiffin (26), known from the “After” film series, are supposed to become a rom-com dream couple. As reported by “Variety”, among others, the actress and actor are set to star in Prime Video’s new British romantic comedy “Picture This”, which is based on the Australian film “Five Blind Dates” (2024).
That’s what “Picture This” is about
In “Picture This”, single Pia (Simone Ashley) runs an unsuccessful photography studio in London with her best friend Jay (Luke Fetherston). Her sister Sonal (Anoushka Chadha) prepares for her wedding, and her mother Laxmi (Sindhu Vee) urges the feisty, independent Pia to find a partner. A spiritual guru at Sonal’s engagement party predicts that Pia will meet the love of her life in the next five dates. When her family gets involved and sets her up on a series of increasingly desperate blind dates, Pia begins a hilarious but heartbreaking search for true love.
The film is written by Nikita Lalwani and directed by Prarthana Mohan. Also appearing in “Picture This” are “Ted Lasso” star Phil Dunster (31), “Starstruck” actor Nikesh Patel (38), “Citizen Khan” lead actor Adil Ray (49) and “Kick It Like Beckham” -Star Kulvinder Ghir (58).
It is not yet known when the new romantic comedy will come to the Prime Video streaming service.
How to know Simone Ashley and Hero Fiennes Tiffin
Both main actors will probably already be familiar to the audience. Simone Ashley appeared in the recurring role of Olivia Hanan in the Netflix series “Sex Education” between 2019 and 2021. In 2022 she played the lead role of Kate Sharma in the second season of “Bridgerton”. She was featured on the cover of British Vogue in December 2022 and March 2024. She was also seen in the live-action adaptation of the Disney film “The Little Mermaid” in 2023.
Hero Fiennes Tiffin appeared as a child in the sixth part of the “Harry Potter” film series and played a supporting role in the Netflix series “Safe” in 2018. As of 2019, he appeared as the main character in all five parts of the film adaptation of the novel series “After” by Anna Todd.
