Simone Ballack is apparently becoming a musical star. Ralph Siegel is said to have hired her for “A Little Peace”.
In May, Ralph Siegel’s (78) musical “A Little Peace – Summer of Love” can be seen at the Deutsches Theater in Munich. As has now been announced, the composer has hired Simone Ballack (48) for a role. She will be seen on stage as the mother of the main character Nina (played by Jennifer Siemann, 33). This is reported by the “Bild” newspaper, among others.
Simone Ballack replaces Annika Kärsten-Hoenig
A few days after the premiere, Ballack will replace Annika Kärsten-Hoenig (38) in the role of Jutta Bauer. She is initially on stage with her husband Heinz Hoenig (72). In the play he plays a former Stasi officer.
“A Bit of Peace – Summer of Love”, based on Siegel’s 1982 Eurovision hit of the same name, tells the story of musician Nina, who investigates the secret of a long-hidden love between an East German rock musician and a West German hippie girl is. The musical premieres on May 9th and can be seen at the Deutsches Theater in Munich until May 19th.
Simone Ballack is “a ramp pig”
Despite the musical role, the audience will not hear Simone Ballack singing – her role is purely a speaking role. “I’m still working on my singing career,” “Bild” quotes the ex-wife of footballer Michael Ballack (47). She admits: “I’m a bit of a limelighter, but I’m a little scared of this challenge.”
The 48-year-old has no acting experience yet. She is still familiar with the stage: in 2013, Ballack took fourth place in the RTL dance show “Let’s Dance”.
Ballack was best known for her marriage to professional footballer Michael Ballack. They married in 2008 after ten years of dating. She has three sons with him. The separation followed four years later. She was then married to her childhood friend Andreas Mecky from 2019 to 2023.
