Simply an exceptional mouse

We had the opportunity to test the Razer Viper V2 Pro, the latest from the manufacturer, which was impressive from start to finish in our test. Here is what we can tell you about it.

We had the opportunity to have in our hands one of the latest entries from Razer, namely the Viper V2 Pro mouse. It exists in two models, one quite classic black and the other completely white. It is this last version that we had to carry out this test.

As very often with Razer, from the packaging we know where we are stepping and we feel that here we are dealing with a fairly high-end product. In fact, this is the case anyway and we prefer to warn you right away, you have to pay 159 euros to get this Viper V2 Pro. In this packaging and for this price, you benefit from content that is a little different from the average of a more classic mouse. Namely the mouse itself in immaculate white, a Type-A to Type-C Speedflex cable (braided cable), adhesive strips, a USB Dongle, an adapter for USB Dongle and the usual stickers with the manufacturer’s logo.

Small but brave

This Razer Viper V2 Pro measures 126 mm x 57 mm x 37 mm for a featherweight 58 grams. Its size / weight ratio is also one of the main characteristics of this device, small but very valiant. It’s a compact format that is clearly designed for eSports with easy transport, space-saving but crazy technical characteristics. Its slightly rough texture offers an excellent grip and that’s not to mention its lines that perfectly fit your hand. In terms of design, especially in white, it is truly flawless. It is a very elegant mouse which sublimates the office and which makes its small effect. Its respectable size allows a claw/palm/finger grip.

Flawless this Razer mouse

If the mouse is wireless, Razer does it well and it is possible to use it entirely wired thanks to its good-sized cable. Obviously in wireless, the in-house Razer Hyperspeed Wireless technology (which according to Razer is 25% faster than other wireless technologies) works wonders and allows ultra-smooth and latency-free use. Note the possibility of enjoying 80 hours of autonomy in wireless, it is in the average of the high end

For performance, the mouse benefits from an Optic Focus Pro 30K sensor allowing 30,000 DPI to enjoy a quarter-turn reaction with total and absolute fluidity. It’s very simple, it’s currently the best mouse we’ve had in our hands in 2022 in this regard. And that’s not counting the 3rd generation Razer optical switches with a life cycle of 90 million clicks (a promise that is difficult to verify, you will agree). This avoids the famous rebound / double click problems that sometimes spoil the experience, often in the worst moments.

On the back of the mouse, there is the sensitivity button which offers 5 levels with a very practical color indicator: Red (400), Green (800), Blue (1600), Cyan (3200) and Yellow (6400) . All of this can be easily modified via the in-house Razer Synapse software.

We have tested this Razer mouse under different games such as Hunt Showdown or Age of Empires IV, it is clear that it is truly flawless technically. It’s a pleasure to use every moment and it doesn’t matter the size of your hand (except really if you are Shrek).
