The eighth season of the VOX show “Sing my song” starts on May 22nd. The artist of the evening of the opening sequence will be DJ BoBo.

Next Tuesday, April 20th, the eighth season of the successful music format “Sing my song – The exchange concert” starts at 8:15 pm on VOX. This year Johannes Oerding (39, “Konturen”) will host the show. The first episode is all about the music of Swiss DJ BoBo (53), as the broadcaster has now announced.

The participants Gentleman (45), Stefanie Heinzmann (32), Joris (31), front man of the folk band Mighty Oaks Ian Hooper (27) and rapper Nura (32) will try their hand at hits from BoBo’s almost thirty years of music career together with host Oerding . Before the show, songwriter Oerding confessed: “We have our pants full.” The audience can look forward to a reinterpretation of the song “Love is all around” by DJ BoBo’s compatriot Stefanie Heinzmann. For her, the performance was particularly exciting because one of her first concerts was one of the Swiss artist, she says.

Rapper Nura will transform the song “Freedom” into a rap number, while the German artist Joris will also show a new vocal side with a swing version of “There Is A Party”. Which songs the other participants will dare to try and which interpretation will be chosen by DJ BoBo as the “song of the evening” will be shown on Tuesday from 8:15 pm on VOX or seven days earlier on TVNow Premium.

The shooting of the new season of “Sing my Song – The Exchange Concert” took place for the first time in Germany – on the Baltic Sea at Gut Weissenhaus – due to the ongoing Corona situation. According to the broadcaster, the film was shot in March under strict Corona measures and with constant tests, so that none of the artists and no one from the production team was infected with Covid-19 during the filming.
