Sing my song – The Exchange Concert: The VOX show will go into season seven in May

"Sing my song – the exchange concert" is back: The VOX show, in which seven well-known musicians exchange songs with each other and the new version perform in front of their colleagues, will start its seventh season in 2020. Now the broadcaster has announced a start date.

From May 5, 2020, the show will be broadcast on Tuesdays at 8:15 p.m. on VOX (also via TVNow). For the second time, Michael Patrick Kelly (42, "Shake away") will take on the role of host after 2019 and welcomes Selig frontman Jan Plewka (49), solo singer Nico Santos (27, "Play With Fire") and his colleague Max Giesinger ( 31, "When she dances"), the former Dutch ESC participant Ilse DeLange (42, "I Still Cry"), the singer-songwriter LEA (27, "Leiser") and rapper MoTrip (32, "As you are ") in South Africa. In episode one, Max Giesinger can still sit back, because at the start of the season, the colleagues have to interpret his songs.

Three special episodes planned

Episode two focuses on the music of Nico Santos. This is followed by Ilse DeLange, MoTrip, Jan Plewka, LEA and host Michael Patrick Kelly. The finale is crowned with a duet evening. Following this season, VOX is showing three special episodes, which, according to the broadcaster, summarize "the greatest surprises, the best duets and the funniest moments from seven seasons".

"Sing my song – the exchange concert" has been broadcast on VOX since April 2014. The program has since had good ratings and has been honored with prizes, including the German Television Award (2014), the Golden Camera (2018), the Bambi (2015) and the Echo (2015).
