SINoALICE: the global version will close on November 15

The aura of the brilliant creator with a masked head will not have been enough. Square Enix had nevertheless bet big on this gacha game inspired by the heroines of historical tales, such as Alice, Cinderella or Princess Kaguya, who evolved in a universe with tints dark fantasy through turn-based combat. The Japanese publisher had even delayed the global release to refine the translations, but this concern for the beautiful verb was not enough to convince enough curious people.

Period

This shutdown comes almost a year to the day after the Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau servers went down on November 10, 2022. At the time, Yoko Taro had crafted a special ending to give some semblance of conclusion to the plot; any player reaching the end of the story permanently lost access to the application, telling him bluntly that it was time to mourn. A yoko-tarotery like any other. Square Enix has yet to say if the Global version will end similarly.

The game’s premium currency, Crystals, has not been purchasable since September 1st. Square Enix indicates that it is possible to request a refund from the application if you have unused Crystals left in the bottom of the drawers. Refunds will be sent from November 15. A shopping genre from which other mobile publishers could take seed…

The Japanese version of SINoALICE, already dating from 2017, will survive the purge. Only the manga adaptation, still relevant, will remain with us, the fifth volume of which was released in July under the Kurokawa banner.
