Musicians Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell celebrate their tenth wedding anniversary. “Happy anniversary for my dear wife,” he wishes her.
Sir Paul McCartney (79) celebrated a special anniversary on Saturday (October 9th): The musician and his wife Nancy Shevell (61) have been married for ten years. The former Beatles bassist shared on Instagram a selfie of the two and wrote: “Ten wonderful years together. Happy anniversary for my dear wife.”
McCartney and Shevell were married on October 9, 2011 at Marylebone Town Hall in London. He was previously married to model Heather Mills (53) from 2002 to 2008 and to photographer and musician Linda McCartney (1941-1998) from 1969 until her death in 1998. In 2012, the 79-year-old dedicated the song “My Valentine” to his current partner, which appeared on the album “Kisses on the Bottom”.
Wedding on the birthday of John Lennon
His wedding anniversary isn’t the only anniversary McCartney remembered, however. A few hours earlier he shared a joint photo with his former band mate John Lennon (1940-1980). The cult musician would have celebrated his 81st birthday on October 9th. In the black and white photo, the two are fooling around with their instruments.
