with OONA with a view to acquiring a majority stake

SIRIUS MEDIA

announces that it has entered into exclusive discussions with the company OONA, specialized in 2D/3D creation and mobile games, with a view to taking a majority stake in the company’s capital (51%). The founder and main shareholder, Steeve Attali, has established himself in video games, digital marketing, mobile application development and recently, in animation studios.

OONA

formerly Rec’im is a profitable start-up based in Lyon which has its own 2D/3D animation studio whose management is made up of big names in the industry. The OONA studio has been collaborating for many months with the Triple A/PM SA teams on the design, marketing and merchandising of the animated films “Zak & Wowo, the legend of Lendarys” which is scheduled for release in the spring 2024, and “Urban Jungle”.

This integration will allow Sirius Media to internalize the production of its animated films and, at the same time, reduce its operational costs. The Group will also be able to rely on the expertise of OONA and its subsidiaries to develop the merchandising of its animated films (video games, promotional visuals, etc.). This operation confirms the Group’s desire to pursue its targeted external growth strategy and develop its international activities in order to position itself as a major player in the European audiovisual sector.
