At the start of the second season, the history series “Sisi” on RTL recorded significantly weaker ratings than the first season.

The second season of the historical series “Sisi” disappointed on Tuesday evening on RTL in terms of ratings. The start of the season on free TV at 8:15 p.m. only had a market share of 7.5 percent in the target group, reports “DWDL.de”. The two following episodes then accounted for 7.4 and 8.6 percent. In the first season, the market share was still an average of more than twelve percent. Had everyone seen the new episodes of the series with Dominique Devenport (26) and Jannik Schümann (30) on demand?

Most successful streaming restart

Finally was the squadron for the streaming service RTL+ a huge hit since it became available there on December 16: it’s the streaming service’s most successful fiction reboot. According to the report, interest in the regular RTL program was limited. Instead of continuously more than two million viewers as in season one, this time there were only 1.41 million in front of the screen at the start. 1.35 million people would then have seen the second and third episodes on TV.

In addition to Devenport (Sisi) and Schümann (Franz), other roles in the series include Désirée Nosbusch (57) as Archduchess Sophie, Murathan Muslu (41) as Hungarian rebel leader Ödön Körtek, David Korbmann (36) as Count Grünne and Tanja Schleiff (49) as Countess Esterhazy. Today, December 28, RTL will show the other three episodes of the second season of “Sisi” from 8:15 p.m.
