  • The pro-Palestine protest has reached ETH Zurich.
  • A few dozen students sat down on the floor in the entrance hall shortly before lunch.
  • ETH Zurich has confirmed corresponding media reports.

Among other things, the students shouted “free, free Palestine” and laid out a poster on the floor with the slogan “no tech for genocide”.

The group “Students for Palestine” writes on Instagram that the main hall of the ETH is occupied.

Compared to Lausanne, where several hundred people demonstrated, the protest in Zurich is relatively small. According to several media reports, only about 60 people are protesting there.

Also in Lausanne

After the University of Lausanne (UNIL), the neighboring campus of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) has now also become the subject of mobilization for pro-Palestine protests. A group of pro-Palestinian students announced that they would “peacefully occupy” the hall at EPFL.
