The FFR communicated this Wednesday the list of the fourteen players of the XV of France released and therefore made available to their clubs. Toulouse’s Dorian Aldegheri and Emmanuel Meafou are part of this list. They will not play the match against Wales on Saturday, on the last day of the Six Nations Tournament.

Pillar Dorian Aldegheri and Australian second line Emmanuel Meafou are among the fourteen players released by the management of the XV of France before the match against Wales, the French Rugby Federation (FFR) announced on Wednesday. Aldegheri was established on Saturday in London in place of Mohamed Haouas, who himself replaced against Scotland Uini Atonio, suspended for three weeks after a dangerous tackle in Ireland. Against England (53-10), the right pillar of Toulouse played 49 minutes before being replaced by Sipili Falatea.

Atonio being tipped to return to the starting XV on Saturday against the Welsh, for the last match of the Six Nations Tournament, Aldegheri was made available to Stade Toulouse. He will return to Toulouse with his teammates Pierre-Louis Barassi and Matthis Lebel, also released by the staff of the Blues.

Other released players

Meafou will accompany them. Summoned for the first time to Marcoussis by Fabien Galthié, he is not yet eligible for the XV of France. Arriving at Stade Toulouse at the end of 2018, the Toulouse forward does not meet the criteria required by World Rugby to be selectable for the country in which he lives. This requires that he has resided there for at least five years.

Rochelais Thomas Lavault and Paul Boudehent have also been released to their club, as have Bayonnais Baptiste Héguy, Stade Français player Clément Castets, Palois Sacha Zegueur, Bastien Vergnes-Taillefer (UBB), Lyonnais Léo Berdeu , Montpellier residents Anthony Bouthier and Thomas Darmon, as well as Oyonnax (ProD2) player Enzo Reybier.
