Six new ZenBooks from Asus with convertibles and large screens

On the sidelines of the announcement of the new VivoBooks, Asus presented their high-end counterpart: the ZenBook Pro and S. The brand introduces the first 17-inch ZenBook, renews its dual-screen ZenBook Pro 14 Duo and presents two ZenBook S 13.

In addition to the 17 references of VivoBook Pro / S, the Taiwanese manufacturer Asus presented its new ZenBook, six in number, with in particular two models that stand out from the crowd.

Asus thus renews its ZenBook equipped with two screens. The ZenBook Pro 14 Duo Oled has a main 14.5 ” 2.8K Oled screen supporting 120 Hz and a second screen under the first in place of the keyboard which is shifted towards the front part of the chassis. This second screen of 12.7 ” at 120 Hz with a definition of 2880 x 864 is not Oled, but simply IPS, Asus claims to have reworked its inclination to tend to form a single screen.
No compromise on components as tilting the screen opens up the chassis and improves cooling, allowing the ZenBook Pro 14 Duo to be equipped with an Intel Core i9-12900H processor and a GeForce RTX 3050 Ti in its most muscular configuration, thus sharing the 85 W of the allocated thermal envelope.

A second model uses this cooling system, the ZenBook Pro 16X Oled. This time no second screen, but a keyboard that lifts up to maximize cooling. Asus takes Intel’s Core i9-12900H processor and accompanies it with a GeForce RTX 3060, the whole thing sharing a generous envelope of 140 W in order to express itself fully. A 16 ” oled touch screen with a definition of 3840 x 2400 px in 16:10 format completes this 2.4 kg ZenBook Pro 16X Oled. Note that a physical wheel takes place on the palm rest in order to quickly change tools, especially in the Adobe suite, and that the touchpad that embeds the NumPad now has haptic feedback for more comfort.

Another novelty from Asus, a ZenBook Pro 17 sporting a large 17.3-inch 2.5K touch screen at 165 Hz. This model is equipped for the occasion with an AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX processor accompanied by a GeForce RTX 3050 in order to help him in his creative tasks. Another sizeable model was also presented, the ZenBook Pro 15 Flip Oled. This time it is a convertible model with a screen that flips completely. Still equipped with a 15.6” 2.8K 120 Hz OLED panel, this ZenBook Pro 15 Flip OLED is equipped with an Intel Core i7-12700H processor accompanied by a GPU also from Intel, the Bow A370M.

ZenBook S 13, for more mobility

The most mobile users will appreciate the ZenBook 13 Oled (UM5302TA) equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 6800U processor with a 16:10 2.8k Oled screen weighing just 1 kg with an announced autonomy of 19 hours. A convertible version is also planned with the ZenBook 13 Flip Oled and the same panel, but touchscreen. Asus, however, changes the platform for the 12th generation Intel processor and the weight takes 100 g overweight.

The ZenBook Pro and S will be available in the third quarter of 2022. The ZenBook Pro 17 Oled and the ZenBook 13 S Oled are the most affordable with a starting price of 1499 €, the ZenBook 13 Flip Oled will be displayed at 1999 €, count 2099 € for the ZenBook Pro 14 Duo Oled and Pro 15 Flip Oled, while the ZenBook Pro 16X Oled is the most expensive with a price of 2999 €.
