six of the seven state civil servant unions signed the agreement

Two days after having received the majority consent of the state civil service unions, the agreement which should improve the care of incapacity, invalidity and death for 2.5 million public agents was was officially signed on Friday in Paris.

Gathered at the Ministry of the Civil Service, six of the seven organizations representing the main branch of the civil service (FSU, Unsa, CFDT, CGT, CFE-CGC, Solidaires) initialed the draft agreement submitted to them by the government at the end september.

Only the FGF-Force Ouvriere, the first state civil service union, refused to sign, regretting that the few advances permitted by the text only benefit state agents and not the more than three million workers. hospital and community workers.

The Minister of Civil Service Stanislas Guerini, for his part, defended Friday before the press the very strong legitimacy of the agreement, drawn from the signature of almost all the unions.

The situation of public officials is often more fragile than that of employees when faced with the serious risks of life, he maintained. One million state employees are currently not covered by incapacity, invalidity or death insurance.

The agreement we signed brings decisive and unprecedented improvements, enthused Stanislas Guerini.

Public officials have the right to social coverage worthy of the name, insisted the CFE-CGC Public Services Federation, which welcomes the advances obtained during the year and a half of negotiations for the agreement.

Joining the criticisms of several unions, Solidaires-FP considers that the subject of incapacity remains to be explored in greater depth, in particular on the question of ordinary sick leave.
