While the Disney+ streaming platform continues to maintain the mystery around Skeleton Crewthe new Star Wars series expected by the end of the year, an image of a derivative product has just given us a first glimpse of the main characters of the show.

“The Goonies meets Stranger Things”

As the product description indicates – an ingot sold by the Fanattik site – it will be a question of friendship and determination in Skeleton Crew. The series, presented as “a galactic take on the classic adventure films from Amblin Studios from the 80s”follows a group of young people lost in the galaxy as they try to return home, and who are helped by a mysterious man.

We therefore expect a sort of Goonies in space, with a little side Stranger Thingsbecause the show is not necessarily aimed only at a young audience.

The visual on this ingot therefore shows these four protagonists, three humans and an Ortolan (the elephant-like alien at the front of the group) as well as a character resembling a droid. This droid could also be none other than the character played by Jude Law (Captain Marvel) wearing a helmet, although it is not safe.

A derivative product from the Star Wars: Skeleton Crew series.

In any case, only the image on the box of this ingot allows us to see the four children in relatively detail, and while we wait to find out more about the series, we will have to be content with that. On the Fanattik website, the image of this ingot is now indicated under embargo until November 1, 2024.

It is therefore possible that Disney and Lucasfilm intend to remain silent about Skeleton Crew until there. Especially since the co-creator of the series, Jon Watts (Spider-Man: Homecoming), recently hinted that the show would be released on Disney+ next December, around Christmas.

No doubt Disney+ and Lucasfilm will be more talkative about Skeleton Crew once the other Star Wars series of the year, The Acolyte, will be released on our screens. This will indeed arrive on the streaming platform on June 5.
