Ski mountaineering – Dreier is back on the podium in Switzerland

Great success for Sarah Dreier! The woman from Pongau took second place at the Ski Mountaineering World Cup in Morgins (Switzerland).

For the second time this season, the 27-year-old finished second in the vertical race. She had already managed this feat at the last World Cup in Andorra. In Switzerland, Dreier was in the top group right from the start and was able to break away from the field with two other women. In the end she was only 14 seconds behind the winner Axelle Gachet-Mollaret. “I’m very, very happy with my 2nd place in the Vertical. It’s super nice when you know that the hard training is worth it. I have a great team behind me – starting with my family and my boyfriend through to the many supporters without whom I would not be able to achieve these achievements and whom I cannot thank enough. The cohesion in our team is just great,” said Dreier. On Friday the individual climbs in Morgins, next week the ski mountaineering world cup will continue in the Martelltal in South Tyrol.
