by Antonin Gizolme (iDalgo)

Alexis Pinturault becomes king in his kingdom! At home, in Courchevel, the resort that saw him grow up, Alexis Pinturault offers himself his second combined title, after that acquired in Are (Sweden) in 2019. At the start of the day, in front of his relatives, the Frenchman crossed the line in the Super-G with the best time, six hundredths ahead of reigning world champion Marco Schwarz. A first step towards the title before setting off on the Slalom. Pinturault started first, and set a reference time of 1’53”31 in total. Bib number 2, Marco Schwarz dominated the track, lining up the intermediates in green, but the Austrian missed out 4 doors from the finish. On the line, Schwarz passes second for a small tenth. No one will be able to dethrone King Pinturault, revengeful after missing gold by 4 hundredths in 2021, finishing behind… Schwarz.
