Skoda launches Powerpass Map, a new infotainment app

Available for Enyaq iV family vehicles, the Powerpass Map infotainment app displays public charging points along with detailed information about them on the central infotainment screen.

The Powerpass card can now be downloaded for free from the on-board OS store in any Enyaq iV or Enyaq Coupe iV running ME software update 3.0 or newer.

Via Powerpass Map, it will be possible to consult the opening hours, the number of charging points currently available, the maximum charging power and the prices of the terminal. The map shows the charging points available inside and outside the Powerpass network, which is the equivalent of 500,000 charging points across Europe.

Charging stations that are part of the Powerpass network are easily identifiable by a special symbol on the map. In addition, searches for charging points can be filtered according to the driver’s needs. It is also possible to search and display charging points in the MyŠkoda or Powerpass mobile apps.

The infotainment app also has a real-time rating and feedback feature: users can rate charging points on a scale of one to five stars, and leave feedback for other users. Drivers can also view nearby services, such as shops and restaurants. This is a first step that we would have liked to see already implemented, since the manufacturer has long since launched its Powerpass recharge card. However, the manufacturer does not specify whether the hard integration of Powerpass Map makes it possible to act as a recharging planner according to navigation. We hope this will be possible in a future update.
