Skull & Bones features 30 minutes of gameplay

Even though we thought that Skull & Bones was, finally, about to be released, Ubisoft has, unfortunately (for us) made the choice to postpone it, in order to deliver the experience that the community deserves, up to expectations. . To be forgiven, the studio has chosen to unveil a new and long gameplay sequence, during which we have an example of the style of missions that will be offered to us. In addition to obtaining various rewards, these quests will aim to teach us a little more about the story and how it works.

During this little half hour, we see in particular navigation, and this one may offend some players, especially because it seems very arcade, far from Sea of ​​Thieves, although they are two different games. Here the sailing is fast, direct, the boat seems very easy to maneuver and it is not clear if the wind has any real impact on all this, although an indicator is visible next to the speed. What’s more, the hold and captain’s cabin can’t be explored, but that might change by the time of release.

We also see combat, which promises to be explosive, and a little exploration on foot on an island, but not enough to judge our freedom. If the diversity of missions is present, we could have many interesting challenges, especially since the world, inspired by the Indian Ocean in the golden age of piracy, is particularly well represented, with magnificent scenery .


Tests will take place soon, so that a wider audience can discover Skull & Bones and give feedback on the experience. In the meantime, we no longer have a precise release date. We will know more in the coming weeks.
