Sky is taking its multiscreen strategy one step further and is now making the Sky Q app available on select Xbox consoles.

- The app has been available on Playstation 5 and 4 since December 2021.
Sky Q is also available on Xbox Series X and Series S starting this Monday. But not only the latest console generation was considered. The app also works with the somewhat older Xbox One (launched in 2013).
Playstation 5 got Sky-Q app a year before Xbox
The Sky-Q app is already available for smart TVs from Samsung and LG as well as the Apple TV Box. Xbox competitor Sony has been offering the app for the Playstation 5 and 4 for a good year now. It is of course important for Microsoft to be able to at least catch up. Accordingly, the Xbox for Sky is also another piece of the puzzle in its multi-screen concept.

After all, the app is intended precisely to give customers the opportunity to consume content not only on the Sky-Q receivers. A maximum of three devices can be streamed at the same time.
