Storms had caused flooding in the basement of the control center. which affected the cooling of the data center, writes Skyguide. Flooding near Basel and in Morges
Several hundred reports of flooded cellars, power outages and other damage were received by the Basel-Landschaft cantonal police in Liestal alone, a spokeswoman for the Keystone-SDA news agency said.
In addition to the cantonal capital, Frenkendorf and Füllinsdorf were particularly affected. There was also flooding in Pratteln, as pictures show.
In Morges in Vaud, the river of the same name overflowed its banks in several places in the city. Terraces were flooded and water entered shops and restaurants.
