Slalom in Wengen: Daniel Yule is the first Swiss to be on the podium in 23 years

Daniel Yule is the first Swiss to stand on the slalom podium in Wengen in 23 years. The Valaisian is second behind the Norwegian Lucas Braathen.

(sda) Yule was 22 hundredths behind Braathen, who in the second race with a clear best time from 29th place advanced to the top. Yule secured his first podium in two years The last Swiss man to finish in the top three in slalom at Wengen was Michael von Grünigen in January 1999.

Loïc Meillard, the second-best Swiss, made up 13 places in the second race and finished 7th. Ramon Zenhauser, after the first round in fourth place with podium chances, fell back to 15th place in the final ranking.
