“My freedom was the vaccination”: David Hasselhoff calls in two videos from the Federal Ministry of Health to be vaccinated.
More prominent support for the campaign # SleevesHoch: On the Twitter account of the Federal Ministry of Health, US star David Hasselhoff (68) calls in two videos to get vaccinated – in order to fight “against the corona virus and for freedom”. The singer and actor says in the clips, on which he shows his arm, on which a plaster is stuck: “I, David Hasselhoff, am supposedly a hero because of ‘Baywatch’ and ‘Knight Rider’ and the Berlin Wall, but my freedom was the vaccination. You can do that too . “
In the second video, Hasselhoff explains: “I look forward to getting back to everyday life, to the freedom. The freedom to get vaccinated and to travel around the world.” And he adds: “My advice to everyone in America, around the world and in Germany: Get vaccinated.”
A star in Germany
Hasselhoff celebrated great success with the TV series “Knight Rider” and “Baywatch”, and his music also made him a star in Germany. He performed his song “Looking For Freedom” shortly after the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989.
In March it became known that David Hasselhoff was filming a series for TVNow alongside Henry Hübchen (74) in Germany. In the “black humor” described agent thriller series called “Ze Network”, both will play themselves, as it was said in a press release. In the project, the actors get caught in an “international conspiracy of former Cold War assassins.”
