Russia reports drone attack on Moscow

According to the RIA news agency, the rescue service spoke of two residential buildings that were hit. One person was injured. Some residents of a building in the south of the city had to leave their homes and were taken to safety.
In addition, according to Russian information, several drones were shot down as they approached Moscow. This was stated by the regional governor of the oblast of the same name, Andrei Vorobyov, on the short message service Telegram. It was not clear who launched the drones. According to several Russian Telegram news channels, four to ten drones were shot down on the outskirts of Moscow and in the immediate vicinity in the morning.
The attack follows a Russian drone attack on the Ukrainian capital of Kiev earlier in the night that killed at least one person, according to Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko. Russian shelling in the middle of the day on Monday caused panic in the Ukrainian capital.
In addition, this is not the first drone attack on Moscow. At the beginning of the month, Russia announced that two drones that were flying towards the Kremlin compound had crashed. Moscow accused Kiev of an attempted attack on Russian President Vladimir Putin and threatened countermeasures. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov blamed the US for the attack. Kyiv and Washington have denied any involvement in the incident.
