(Boursier.com) — Annual inflation appears to have slowed slightly in France in June. According to preliminary data from INSEE, consumer prices are expected to increase by 2.1% over the month, after +2.3% in May. This slight drop in inflation could be explained by the slowdown over one year in food and energy prices. The prices of services, manufactured products and tobacco would evolve over a year at the same rate as the previous month, specifies INSEE. Over one month, consumer prices should be almost stable in June 2024 (+0.1% after 0.0% in May).

The consumer price index harmonized to European standards would increase by 2.5% in June, after 2.6% the previous month. A development in line with market expectations. Sequentially, it would increase by 0.1% as in May.
