US ski star Mikaela Shiffrin is skipping the speed races in Altenmarkt-Zauchensee (Pongau). The 28-year-old announced this on Tuesday via “X” (formerly Twitter).
The World Cup record winner is still suffering from a cold and will therefore miss two Super-Gs and a downhill in Salzburg (January 12th – 14th). Mika Shiffrin was already weak last weekend at the technical races in Kranjska Gora. She only came ninth in the giant slalom and was eliminated in the slalom. Certainly a loss for fans of the ski spectacle. The 28-year-old would undoubtedly have been an attraction.
