Music star Sid Wilson suffered second-degree burns in a shocking accident. He shows his injuries on Instagram.

Musician Sid Wilson (47) has been taken to hospital with burns. The partner of Kelly Osbourne (39) and DJ of the metal band Slipknot apparently sustained his injury when he lit a bonfire on a farm that he shares with Osbourne and their son Sidney (2). The fire exploded, according to Instagram posts by Wilson and Osbourne.

Sid Wilson suffered second degree burns

Since early Saturday morning (24 August) German time, Wilson has been posting videos from the hospital on the social network. In the shocking incident, he sustained second-degree burns on his face and arms. The wounds are clearly visible in the clips. Wilson’s skin on his arms and face looks red, his lips also appear swollen and blisters are visible.

His partner Kelly Osbourne also visited him in the hospital and posted from Wilson’s page. “That’s why you don’t play around with burning piles,” she explains, shaking her head in an Instagram story. And further: “He literally set himself on fire and made everything explode.”

Slipknot member still wants to go on tour

Despite his burns, Slipknot member Wilson is also combative in his Instagram posts. “I’m going to get better and I don’t care what it takes, see you on tour,” he assures in a post.

Slipknot’s official Instagram channel also states: “Our brother Sid Wilson had an accident today and suffered burns on his body. He is recovering with his family and will still be on stage with us next weekend at Rocklahoma. He thanks everyone for the good wishes and will see you all again soon.”

The band is scheduled to perform at the three-day Rocklahoma festival in Oklahoma, USA, on September 1st.
