Fatal recreational accident in the Axamer Lizum on Friday! A still unknown snowboarder collided with a German skier (23) who had fallen to the ground. The winter sports athlete had to be looked after by the Tyrolean piste rescue team.

The accident occurred around 11 a.m. The 23-year-old wanted to avoid a snowboarder on the women’s downhill run. “She fell and the snowboarder collided with the woman lying on the slope,” the police said. The woman suffered a cut and an injury to her knee in the accident.Witnesses soughtAfter receiving initial care from the piste rescue team, the German sought medical treatment on her own. Meanwhile, the snowboarder ran away after only stopping for a short time. The police are therefore still looking for the unknown winter sports athlete or for witnesses to the accident.
