This is what Procos, which represents professionals in the sector, says, emphasizing that this result “disappoints the players” who “hoped for a rebound in activity after very difficult months of September and October despite more favorable weather for purchasing goods. ‘winter “. “Even Black Friday did not bring better dynamics,” emphasizes Procos.

Black Friday only resulted in a “very slight increase” of 0.4% compared to 2022, “very insufficient to modify the trends underway since the summer”.

As in previous months, store sales in the beauty-health sector stand out with growth in value of 7.5% compared to November 2022, specifies Procos, regretting that, as in October, the equipment of the home is still “in sharp contraction” (-4.2%), as is sport for the 2nd month in a row (-2.7%) and shoes (-4.8%). The clothing sector, for its part, saw a slight improvement at +2.1% but remains insufficient to reverse the trend of recent months.
