Smart good things: A Casino subsidiary takes a stake in Smart Good Things, Tony Parker’s company

(BFM Bourse) – The company Distribution Casino France will take a 10% stake in the capital of this company which offers powdered preparations for instant drinks.

A few months after its introduction on Euronext Access+ Paris, the simplest compartment to enter the Parisian listing, Smart Good Things sees a new reference shareholder entering its capital.

The company, which has ex-basketball player Tony Parker as a shareholder and deputy managing director, announced on Tuesday that the company Distribution Casino France (DCF) would take a 10% stake in its capital.

DCF, 100% of whose capital is owned by the Casino group, owns the #Hyper Frais, Géant Casino, Supermarchés Casino and the convenience brands Petit Casino, Vival, Spar, Casino Shop and Sherpa.

To bring this company into its capital, Smart Good Things will issue 119,247 ordinary shares. This share issue will be completed no later than December 31.

Listings in Casino Group brands

In exchange for this equity investment – which is done without cash or securities – a strategic agreement signed on December 23 provides that DCF will list and distribute Smart Good Things products, and will develop new dedicated products and services, in association with the young shoot tricolor. These reference and distribution systems will also be implemented in the Casino Group’s other food brands, namely Monoprix, Naturalia and Franprix.

Following this acquisition, Smart Good Things will remain 78.84% owned by the Home Bar BevTech, a company owned in particular by its founder, Serge Bueno, and Tony Parker.

Smart Good Things specializes in powdered nutritional instant drink mixes. At the same time, the company has developed Smart Good Alliance, a platform dedicated to keeping dependent elderly people at home through a subscription to a concierge system and access to a set of dedicated products and services.

Listed on Euronext Access in early September, Smart Good Things aims to be transferred to Euronext Growth in 2023, if the conditions are met.
