The practical smartQ household and wallpapering brush from “The Lion’s Den” should be a real all-rounder. What can the ergonomic brush do? Our editor did the test.

The new type of brush smartQ from The Lion’s Den promises convenient cleaning and wallpapering. The clever household brush has practical features and promises all-round use in the home, car and garden. Shouldn’t the brush really be missing in any household?

smartQ: What can the brush really do?

The trained painter and varnisher Michael Heide is the inventor of the smart brush and, with his innovative idea, would like to make household chores and wallpapering easier for many. The ergonomic round handle gives the brush the extra comfort that strenuous manual work requires.

After my first days at work as a piece wallpaper artist, I had pain in my wrist and forearm. I wondered if this work could not be made easier and immediately had ideas on how to optimize the wallpaper brush – already was smartQ born. I am happy to now, with Ralf’s support, make cleaning and wallpapering work easier in many households!

The founder Michael Heide already has the investor Ralf Dümmel on his side with his clever idea.

The wallpapering brush has not changed for over 70 years, but now, thanks to Michael, it can finally retire. From now on there is smartQ, the household and wallpapering brush. An all-rounder that should no longer be missing in any household.

This is what smartQ promises

  • The smartQ is slim, compact, comfortable and non-slip in the hand
  • If the pressure is too strong, it gives way thanks to specially arranged bristles
  • Significantly more comfort and better to use than classic hand brushes
  • Time, nerves and energy savings when doing household chores and wallpapering

This is how the smartQ works

  • Can be used in the house, garden and car
  • The brush extends into hard-to-reach corners thanks to the extended tips
  • Handle makes it easy to hang or stick

The smartQ in the test

You can always use a good brush. The smartQ is just the right thing. I’m curious to see how strong the household brush really is when cleaning.

The first impression

The brush lies comfortably in the hand – thanks to the ergonomic handle, which I see as very positive for longer brushing out a carpet, etc. You don’t need as much pressure for handling as with a conventional brush without a handle, which definitely makes work easier.

During the application

We own a motorhome in which there is a lot of dirt with two children. Crumbs, sand and various other dirt like to get caught in the carpeting of the rolling home. Since a vacuum cleaner takes up a lot of space in the camping world and electricity is not available everywhere, vacuuming is no longer necessary. This brush is ideal for quick cleaning on the go and thanks to the hard, long bristles it masters removal quite solidly. I can also easily reach the corners around the driver’s seats with the narrow brush. The handle also does what it says on the tin and doesn’t make the hand ache too quickly after a long cleaning process.

smartQ: Conclusion

All in all that is smartQ a clever alternative to a conventional brush. I particularly liked the ergonomic handle, which makes it easy to work. I would like a more sustainable version with natural bristles and a bamboo handle. Then the brush would really be indispensable for me.
