Samsung Galaxy Watch 6
Samsung has years of experience in developing smartwatches, and this is also evident in the Galaxy Watch 6. Although the watch was released over a year ago, it is still a highly recommended watch – especially because the price of certain versions has dropped to under 200 euros in recent months. The watch is available in 40 and 44 millimeters and with or without LTE support.
For just under 200 euros you can get both the 40mm and the 44mm version without cellular connectivity and sometimes even the 40mm watch with cellular connectivity. So it’s worth hunting for bargains here.

- LTE capable?: Optional

But to the watch itself: The watch embodies the progress that Samsung has made in the wearables sector in recent years. Alongside the Xiaomi Watch 2, it is the only watch in the comparison that uses WearOS (with a Samsung user interface) and thus offers support for third-party apps. This gives you the opportunity to use Spotify or WhatsApp, for example, directly on the watch.
In addition, the watch is packed with premium features. There is the option of ECG measurement, blood pressure measurement and a bioanalysis of your body composition directly with the built-in sensors. However, note that the first two features are actually only available to users of Galaxy phones. Using a somewhat complicated workaround, it is also possible to use it with other Android smartphones. Also worth mentioning are the slim design with the thin edges, the sapphire glass display and the many available straps.
Huawei Watch Fit 3
The Huawei Watch Fit 3 is the only square smartwatch in our comparison. So if you prefer this design, you have to go for this model. The design is really chic and very slim. Thanks to the thin display edges that surround the 1.82-inch AMOLED display, the watch looks good on the wrist and is easy to use.

As with many other Huawei watches, it is worth emphasizing the focus Huawei places on individual health management with this smartwatch. The watch can track not only your workouts – but also the meals you eat. The watch can then use this data to perform nutritional analyses and more. And thanks to intelligent suggestions, you get automatic recommendations for workouts that you like and that might be good for you. The battery life of the watch, which is available from 160 euros, is very good at around ten days.
Huawei Watch GT 4
With its Watch GT watches, Huawei has always wanted to ensure that not only the many features, but above all the design are in the foreground. This is no different with the Huawei Watch GT 4. That’s why the watch is available in a total of thirteen different case and strap combinations, covering everything from sporty to classic to business look. There are straps made of fluoroelastomer, leather, nylon, stainless steel and mixed variants.

The price of the watch varies depending on the variant and can be up to 310 euros. The cheapest version (41mm with fluoroelastomer strap) costs just under 200 euros. Of course, there are watch faces to match each variant. What is remarkable about the watch is the battery life, which can be up to two weeks (but more like eight days with normal use), and the many health functions.
These include a personal workout coach, an intelligent lifestyle assistant with suggestions for a healthier life, which can even calculate calorie intake and make recommendations based on this, as well as an extended health management system with 24/7 monitoring of many health functions. Compared to its predecessor, the accuracy of GPS positioning has been increased by around 30 percent, according to the manufacturer.
Xiaomi Watch S3
What is a smartwatch comparison without at least one Xiaomi device? This manufacturer also has several models on offer for under 200 euros. One of these watches is the Xiaomi Watch S3 – a smartwatch that does not work with WearOS, but which stands out with one particular feature: the bezel on the front. This is nothing special in itself – it only becomes so when you find out that it is interchangeable and can be adapted to your own taste.

Replacement bezels are available in retail stores and from Xiaomi itself. In addition to the replaceable bezel, the dual-band GPS system, which is said to be particularly accurate, as well as the long battery life of up to 15 days and support for voice calls via Bluetooth are worth mentioning. Also great: The watch supports contactless payment via Xiaomi’s own system, but only for MasterCard users. You can find out whether your bank is supported by contacting Xiaomi. With its RRP of 150 euros, the watch is the price-performance tip in comparison.
Xiaomi Mi Band 2
When we looked at the Galaxy Watch 6, we mentioned that it is one of the two watches in the comparison that works with WearOS. Well, the Xiaomi Watch 2 is the other of these two watches. The fact that the device is equipped with Google’s constantly updated smartwatch operating system makes it better in terms of user experience and expandability with third-party apps than the three devices without WearOS in the comparison.

But not only in this respect. It is also commendable that Xiaomi uses the speedy Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 for this watch. The battery life of up to 65 hours is pretty solid for a smartwatch with WearOS. Here, too, Xiaomi uses dual-band GPS, which makes locations even more precise. Contactless payment is possible here using Google Wallet. With a recommended retail price of around 180 euros, this watch is also a price-performance champion.
