Last Thursday, a member of the Smash Bros Ultimate scene was arrested on suspicion of murder.
According to a KomoNews report, the decapitated body of the player’s mother was found in the apartment by authorities. Laurie Collins had constant problems with her son, Colin Boldizar, known in the Super Smash Bros. community. Ultimate under the name “Sweets“, which had also been the subject of an order of “no contact» meant to keep him away from his mother.
The player was taken into police custody after a body was found in the apartment where his mother lived. Sweets was also banned from the Washington Smash scene.and presumably all Smash events and communities, at least until the deal is closed.

His impact as a competitive player has been minimal, but a number of people who responded to the ban tweet said they practiced with him or having seen him at events in the region. Smash Bros community players are shocked by this news. Many are also surprised the number of controversial news items it is the subject of.
