Snam4Mobility, CuboGas and HRS develop efficient hydrogen mobility solutions – 12/15/2022 at 6:16 p.m.

(AOF) – Snam4Mobility (integrated service provider for “green and smart” sustainable mobility, using natural gas and biomethane) CuboGas (subsidiary of Snam4Mobility Italian market leader in the design, development and production of technological solutions and HRS designer and manufacturer of hydrogen refueling stations) have signed a memorandum of understanding for the launch of a framework partnership to accelerate the development of efficient hydrogen mobility solutions for the European Union market.

HRS and CuboGas will work together to develop and implement new initiatives in the field of hydrogen mobility infrastructure. More specifically, Cubogas should become a non-exclusive supplier of hydrogen compressors for HRS, since the agreement will allow the integration of CuboGas’ solutions in large capacity HRS stations (more than one ton / day of hydrogen) for light vehicles and heavy goods vehicles (including those carried out by Snam4Mobility).

This draft framework agreement, lasting 3 years, also represents a strategic opportunity for HRS in terms of geographical footprint, by allowing the deployment of HRS stations in Italy through carbon-free mobility projects, piloted by Snam4Mobility and supported by its solid experience in the sector. Eventually, these common solutions could be deployed across the entire commercial network of the two partners.

Great prospects with green hydrogen for the electricity sector

The French hydrogen plan of 7 billion euros, which has been increased to 9 billion, aims to develop an industrial sector for the production of low-carbon hydrogen. Gimélec, the group of companies in the digital electronics sector in France, has identified strong benefits for manufacturers of electrical equipment. For its members, the economic benefits are estimated at 10 billion euros by 2030, then an additional 20 billion for the period 2030 to 2040, mainly for the sector of manufacturers of digital electronic equipment (from transformers to control systems ). This will lead to massive recruitment, in particular in the areas where hydrogen development efforts will be concentrated, in the Mediterranean and in the Seine Valley.
