Snapchat now lets you change your username. We explain how to change it.

Still very popular, especially for its messaging, Snapchat is not free from flaws and certain features are loudly demanded by its subscribers. This is the case, for example, of the possibility of changing your nickname.
From February 23, 2022, all Snapchatters, whether on iOS or Android, will be able to change their username or user without affecting their list of friends, their Snap code, their score, etc
This new functionality should appeal to those who registered very young on the platform when it was launched in 2011 (already) and have evolved, taking a more critical look at their identifier chosen a decade earlier.
How to change your Snapchat username?
To change your username, it’s very simple:
- Click on your Bitmoji at the top left of the screen to open your profile;
- Go to settings (the gear icon at the top right);
- Press on ” username“, then select ” Change username“;
- Click on ” Continue“;
- Choose a new nickname, then click ” following and log back in.
Warning: to prevent this from becoming a real fair (and possibly that some take advantage of it to pretend to be someone else), Snapchat limits the number of changes to one per year. Also, it is important to choose your new user name carefully and to be careful not to make a typing error.
