Qualcomm teases the presentation of a future Snapdragon X SoC based on ARM architecture. Presented as a potential competitor to Apple’s M3, the chip is revealed in a video published on X.
An event scheduled for April 24
In its publication on the social network, Qualcomm speaks of an announcement for April 24. The short video shows a chip with the X logo, which leaves little room for doubt about the identity of this SoC which would be the Snapdragon
TechRadar explains in particular that the Snapdragon X Elite is capable of managing the biggest video game success of 2023, Baldur’s Gate 3. Still according to the media, Qualcomm could present laptops equipped with its new SoC during this event. But this is just a guess.
It is also possible that the SoC presented is the Snapdragon X Plus SoC. As a reminder, the chip would be entitled to four variants, just like the Snapdragon X Elite. The first could reach 10 cores compared to 12 for the second.
