He celebrates 27th wedding anniversary with Shante Broadus

On June 15, 1997, Snoop Dogg married his childhood sweetheart Shante Broadus. To mark their 27th wedding anniversary, the rapper shared couple photos on Instagram.
For Snoop Dogg (52), June 15 is a special day. 27 years ago, the rapper said yes to his partner Shante Broadus (52). On the occasion of their wedding anniversary, he shared two couple photos on his Instagram account. “#TwentySeven,” he captioned the snapshots, in which the couple smile arm in arm into the camera in casual outfits.
Love since high school
The story of Snoop Dogg and Shante Broadus goes back a long way. The two met as teenagers at Long Beach Polytechnic High School in California. In 1989 they attended the prom together. Their relationship lasted and in 1997 the couple married at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Marina Del Rey, California. Their three children Cordé (29), Cordell (27) and Cori (24) complemented the family. Their eldest son made Snoop Dogg and Boradus already grandparents.
Crisis and an illegitimate child
It was not always foreseeable that Snoop Dogg and his wife would be able to celebrate their 27th wedding anniversary. In 1999, the musician had an illegitimate child with his affair Laurie Helmond. In 2004, the couple finally separated briefly – four years later, they celebrated a reunion and even renewed their wedding vows.
“If you really love someone, there’s nothing you can do to end the relationship, and I think that was true love at first sight,” Snoop Dogg explained the love comeback in 2023 in “Today”The couple was always willing to make sacrifices for each other and supported each other in their dreams and goals.
