Fabian Obmann traveled to the World Cup finals in Berchtesgaden as fifth in the overall standings. And with the big crystal ball for the overall World Cup and the small ball for the slalom World Cup, he can be celebrated there today after his first World Cup victory.
On the way there he beat Benjamin Karl, Andi Prommegger, the fastest qualifier Rok Marguc (Slo) and in the final Arvid Auner. “I had no idea what it was about. It’s so crazy, I never counted the points. I’m speechless,” beamed the 26-year-old in the finish area after the race.
Sabine Schöffmann finished fourth in the women’s category. She narrowly missed the big crystal ball.
