Lidl offers a cheap electric garden cultivator in its online shop. This means you can easily dig up your beds or create new ones.

Even if it is still bitterly cold, the garden should be prepared soon so that planting can begin in spring. Beds in particular sometimes need to be dug up, and you may even want to create new ones. This can of course be done with a spade, but is much more convenient with a motor hoe.
Lidl currently offers one of these in its online shop. The electric garden cultivator from the Parkside brand offers a motor output of 1,500 watts. The working depth is a maximum of 20 centimeters, the working width is either 29 or 40 centimeters. The motor hoe is operated with electricity via a regular 230-volt socket.
An automatic motor overload protection and a safety switch ensure safety. Thanks to the folding function, the garden cultivator can be stored to save space. The weight is 10.5 kilograms, and thanks to the two plastic wheels you can drive the hoe to the site without having to carry it there.
Ideal for smaller beds and work in the garden
Overall, the motor hoe from Lidl is solid, but more suitable for smaller beds and work. If the ground is very solid, such as clay soil, it may take some time for the device to dig into the depths.
Basically, motor hoes offer the advantage that you can loosen the soil with them more easily and with less strain on your back than by hand. For larger areas, however, you should use a more powerful motor hoe or rent a professional device.
