Less plastic, more sustainability: solid care and cleaning products promise exactly that and in some cases should even be better than the liquid alternative. But is that really true?
Not only the large amount of plastic packaging for hygiene and cosmetic items is a problem, there is also a lot of microplastic in the products themselves. It then flows into the rivers and seas via sewage and sewage treatment plants, where it is ingested by marine animals.
