The decision of Paris, for the sake of energy sobriety, to extinguish its municipal monuments at 10 p.m. – and the Eiffel Tower at 11:45 p.m. – from September 23, is not unanimous on the side of the government. Asked about this on RMC / BFMTV this Friday, Agnès Pannier-Runacher half-criticized the town hall, run by the socialist Anne Hidalgo.
“The question of turning off the monuments at 10 p.m. is probably not the most important source of savings“, first estimated the Minister of Energy Transition, before discussing the impact of such a measure on tourism. “Sobriety is not to stop living, working, receiving tourists. Sobriety is making the savings that make the most sense in terms of energy consumption“, she launched.
