(CercleFinance.com) – Societe Generale, the majority long-term shareholder of ALD, announces the finalization today of the acquisition of 100% of the capital of LeasePlan by its subsidiary from a consortium led by TDR Capital.
The combination of the activities of ALD and LeasePlan aims to create the world leader in sustainable mobility solutions.
‘The new combined entity will be well positioned to drive profitable growth leveraging a fleet of approximately 3.3 million vehicles, including the world’s largest multi-brand electric vehicle fleet, and a direct presence in 44 countries spanning all customer categories’ indicates the group.
The impact of this acquisition on Societe Generale group’s CET1 capital ratio is expected at 39 basis points.
