Sodexo: Sophie Bellon takes full power


EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW – The recruitment from outside of a general manager has not been successful. The president will combine two functions.

Surprise at Sodexo. The board of directors has appointed its president, Sophie Bellon, to the position of general manager. She had held this position on an interim basis since the ousting of Denis Machuel on 1er October. An external recruitment process had been initiated, and the founder’s daughter still recently felt that the collective catering giant needed“a fresh and exterior eye” to accelerate its transformation. The board deemed it to be “the best placed to lead the group in this new stage of its history”.

Le Figaro. – How was the decision made to entrust you with the general management of Sodexo?

Sophie BELLON. – It is with great pride that the board has decided to appoint me as general manager in addition to my responsibilities as chair of the board of directors.
