Solar system, heating, insulation: Only those who still apply now will receive the full funding

Anyone who renovates their home in order to permanently save energy costs can rely on government financial injections. The Federal Funding for Efficient Buildings (BEG) regulates what exactly is eligible and how high the grants are.

From the August 15, 2022 however, some changes will come into effect here. Don’t panic, heat pumps, insulation on the facade or solar thermal systems will continue to be subsidised. But the Ministry of Economics makes it clear: “Slightly reduced funding rates are necessary in order to continue to enable all groups of applicants to have access to funding”.

So in some areas there is less money from the state. Anyone who still wants to secure the previously applicable subsidy rates must do so until August 14th an application to the BAFA (Federal Office of Economics and Export Control) place. A leaflet gives you a good overview. You then have two years to implement it. If that is not enough, you can even apply for an extension for another two years.
