Soldiers injured – military vehicle overturned after crash on A1 in Lower Austria

On Sunday evening, a serious traffic accident involving a military vehicle on the western highway caused a kilometer-long traffic jam. The two injured occupants were transported to the hospital.

For reasons that are still unclear, an armored military vehicle collided with a guardrail on the A1 in the direction of Vienna on Sunday evening and fell over. There were two soldiers in the military police vehicle, which is used for transportation, patrol, command and reconnaissance purposes, at the time of the accident. According to initial information, the latter was able to climb through the roof hatch on his own.
