As part of its vast plan to combat social fraud, the government has decided to extend the residence time necessary to receive social benefits. From 2025, you will have to spend at least nine months in France “during the calendar year of payment”compared to six currently, to benefit from it.
According to a decree published in the Official Journal on Sunday April 21, these conditions apply to family allowances, the bonus for the birth of a child as well as the minimum old age. The measure does not however concern other aid, such as Universal Health Protection (Puma).
