“Some have a nosebleed”: the stars of Les Randonneuses recount the grueling filming at altitude of the TF1 series

The series “Les Randonneuses” continues this Monday, May 22 on TF1 with two new episodes. The opportunity to take an interest in the sometimes trying filming conditions at nearly 4000 meters above sea level, as the actors tell us.

Patty, Sara, Noémie, Karen, Morgan and Valérie, the heroines of the series Les Randonneuses, will they manage to reach the top of the Dôme de la Lauze and thus honor the promise made to Eve (Elsa Lunghini), their chemo classmate? sadly passed away a few weeks earlier?

This is the question posed by the many viewers who have been seduced by the new drama of TF1 led by Clémentine Célarié, Camille Chamoux, Claire Borotra, Alix Poisson, Joséphine de Meaux, Tiphaine Daviot, Lucien Jean-Baptiste and Baptiste Lecaplain .

And who says climbing a summit of nearly 4000 meters obviously says shooting conditions not always obvious for the Randonneuses teams, filmed in natural settings last summer in the Vanoise national park, in Savoie, and in particular in the Val-Cenis station.

“When you had 40 degrees, we had snowstorms! We had a lot of it…”entrusted Claire Borotra to our colleagues from Sud Radio as part of the promotion of the series. “Finally, all things considered, you don’t make white stripes on the highway at night! It’s still a job where there’s someone who hands you a tea or a handkerchief as soon as you’re cold. It’s still difficult for a few times, but much less than other professions”.

“We had to adapt to the altitude”

Maxence Danet-Fauvel, who lends his features to Julien, a young man not insensitive to the charm of Sara (Alix Poisson), admits that “the shooting was not so physical as that”. And that the hardest part was over once the scenes shot at the top of the mountain were put in a box, at the very beginning of the adventure.

“Frankly, I expected worse, it wasn’t so much physical. But what was a bit strange is that we started at the end, as often in the series. We were shooting in the glaciers, in full month of June. And as we needed snow, we went really very high”remembers at our microphone the comedian well known to fans of Skam France and Les Combattantes.

“What was quite special, for once, was rather that you had to adapt to the altitude”continues the one who is also found in the credits of the series Need for love at the moment on OCS. “Because when you go skiing, and even if you are in good physical condition, the first two or three days you struggle. You are at 3500 meters above sea level, you just go out for a walk and you are quickly out of breath. So That, at first, was a bit tiring”.

A feeling confirmed by her playmate Alix Poisson, even if she admits to having lived rather very well herself these three months of filming on Les Randonneuses: “Some people had a nosebleed, others had a little discomfort, it’s true. But we, with Clémentine, lived it rather well (laughs). We lived our best life”explained to us for his part the interpreter of Sara.

“Overall it went very well for everyone. Already because we never hit a real climb during a day. Even if we redid each sequence several times, it had nothing to do with a real intense hike”.

“And then we were faced with really superb landscapes. When you find yourself at the top of the glacier, it’s magnificent. We were happy to be there, to have such beautiful scores each and to be there to defend such a beautiful project”concludes Alix Poisson, who will soon be found in the series La Tribu, still on TF1.
