/ Mom / Child / School: some parents ask for a relaxation of the health protocol

Since May 11, the return to school of children has been questioning, especially because of the strict health protocol in place in the establishments. These school safety measures will be reassessed from June 22, for phase 3 of the deconfinement.

Prohibited from playing together, respecting social distancing, not touching each other, the children found a school setting very different from what they had left on March 17. This Sunday, June 6, the president of the scientific council, Jean-François Delfraissy estimated that the measures should be relaxed "during meals, recess or sport, we could simplify these rules".

A relaxation that would allow children to find a little humanity and human warmth in the classes, so that they can gradually take their marks. In fact, since the start of the new school year, 90% of schools and colleges have reopened, only 26% of primary school pupils and 17% of middle school students have returned to class, in particular because of the limitation of enrollment to a maximum of 15 pupils per year. classroom.

" Cutting myself off from children for 10 days of school maybe that is out of the question for me "

The sanitary rules put in place in schools question parents, like Aurélie Charles, this 41-year-old mother who has been suffering from cancer for two years, do not wish to have her three children go back to school: "for us (it's a family decision) no going back to school. We explained it to the children, the older one is a little disappointed not to find her mistress and her friends but she prefers to keep doing me hugs, for her that's what matters. Especially since there will be no canteen, so that means half-days, cut off from your children for 10 days of school maybe it is out of the question for me. " In most establishments, the canteens where children used to relax with their friends are no longer open. From now on, you must be content to bring your meal and eat in class, respecting the safety distances with the comrades.

Teachers and teacher unions were also worried about the protocol to put in place, as for Elise Morreau, teacher for CP classes, "I am thinking of the elementary classes, of which some CP pupils are still very young, since this is my situation, but our school also includes four nursery classes, for which these measures will be more difficult to apply and will require systematic support adults. For the youngest, these practices will prove to be extremely time-consuming and again, limit all the learning that school must normally carry ", said Élise Morreau.

Thus, these distancing measures in schools will be reassessed on June 22 during phase 3 of the deconfinement, while the summer vacation will begin a few weeks later, starting on July 4.
