Two youngsters from Spittal stole two go-karts from a hotel in Berg im Drautal and took them for a jaunt. During their journey, they took helmets and gloves with them.
On the night of Sunday the two brothers, aged 15 and 17, broke into the garage of a hotel in Berg im Drautal and stole two go-karts from it. With these the boys drove over the Amlacher Landesstraße to the Greifenburg train station. There they tried to short-circuit a moped. However, the two failed. At the station, the two teenagers then stole discarded crash helmets and a pair of leather gloves.
In the dark with unlit vehicles on the go
In total darkness they continued their journey in the unlit go-karts. From Greifenburg train station they drove over Weissensee Straße onto Drautal Straße (B 100) towards Spittal / Drau.
