Some stolen things – Brothers took a joyride with stolen go-karts


Two youngsters from Spittal stole two go-karts from a hotel in Berg im Drautal and took them for a jaunt. During their journey, they took helmets and gloves with them.

On the night of Sunday the two brothers, aged 15 and 17, broke into the garage of a hotel in Berg im Drautal and stole two go-karts from it. With these the boys drove over the Amlacher Landesstraße to the Greifenburg train station. There they tried to short-circuit a moped. However, the two failed. At the station, the two teenagers then stole discarded crash helmets and a pair of leather gloves.

In the dark with unlit vehicles on the go
In total darkness they continued their journey in the unlit go-karts. From Greifenburg train station they drove over Weissensee Straße onto Drautal Straße (B 100) towards Spittal / Drau. But neither of them expected that. Because at the level of the village of Radlach was the end of the line. There an oncoming police patrol noticed the two boys driving next to each other.
