Somfy records 17.6% growth in 2021 – 01/25/2022 at 6:28 pm

(AOF) – Somfy’s turnover amounted to 1.48 billion euros for the 2021 financial year, up 17.6% compared to the previous financial year (+15.7% like-for-like). It increased by 41.5% in the first half, before falling by 2.2% in the second on atypical bases of comparison in 2020 (decline in the first half and strong recovery in the second). Compared to the 2019 financial year, which was not affected by the pandemic, the activity of the specialist in blinds and roller shutters posted an increase of 23.1% in real terms, testifying to the dynamism of the market.

All regions ended the 2021 financial year with double-digit growth, except Central Europe, which grew by 0.7% like-for-like. This region, which had experienced strong growth in 2020, was particularly affected by the component crisis due to an unfavorable product mix.

In a context of persistent shortages, Somfy confirms its expectation of an increase in current operating income, with a current operating margin rate close to that of the previous financial year, thanks to its sustained activity, non‐recurring economic savings and all while having maintained a high level of investments.
