Since February 19, 2021, the new season of the detective series Criminal tropics is broadcast on France 2. The soap opera puts Béatrice de La Boulaye and Sonia Rolland in the spotlight. The 70th Miss France, now an actress, remembered the filming of the program which took place in Martinique. If at first glance, this one announced sunshine and good humor, very quickly the preparations turned into a nightmare. The former beauty queen lived an ordeal on the spot. "We were supposed to shoot from April to July 2020, but we ended up having to shoot from July to October, in dthe conditions are a little difficult, because we were in the middle of the tropical period. At this time of year, temperatures can rise to 35 ° C and the air becomes loaded with humidity, making it sometimes the atmosphere more stifling", she confided in an interview with our colleagues from TV 7 Days. The unbreathable climate during this filming is however not the only bad memory for the pretty actress. Sonia Rolland also remembers an event that she will never forget.
"You have thoughts of suicide"
During filming, Sonia Rolland, along with other members of the crew, contracted dengue. She must have been immobilized for more than a week. During an exchange with Philippe Vandel in Media Culture sure Europe 1, Friday February 19, 2021, the forties returned to this painful episode. "I don't even wish it on my worst enemy, if I have one. It's horrible, dengue. It is something that strikes you down. You have thoughts of suicide, outright", she said before adding, still traumatized:"In Martinique, we are more afraid of dengue than of Covid"Unfortunately, there is no vaccine or treatment to counter this."tropical fluSymptoms such as fever, various pains and aches can however be treated. The only recommendations: take patience and prevent mosquito bites.
